Feeder Forehearth Operator Doncaster Plant Role description

To Operate the forehearth and feeder equipment to ensure that glass containers can be produces as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance work on forehearth and feeders, checking, cleaning and changing equipment to maintain efficient operations. Record maintenance work carried out on Maintenance Sheets to provide a reference point. Identify any malfunctions with the forehearth and feeder; repair if possible or refer to necessary personnel in order to minimise downtime. Monitor the operation of the forehearth and feeder, responding to any alarms and making required changes and adjustments to achieve and maintain efficient operation. Prepare refractory equipment in order to maintain the availability of spare equipment. Prepare, clean, gauge all delivery including, scoops, troughs and deflectors. Required skills / qualifications: Attention to detail and personal drive Understanding of Forehearth operation, maintenance and equipment Understanding of Container defects Ability to problem solve and be proactive What we offer: Salary Minimum £31,724 - £39,104 Maximum (Grade 6) Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions Monday – Friday working, plus 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays An environment where we support the development and progression of our employees, tailored to the individual’s aspirations and business opportunities Health and wellbeing initiatives, such as Occupational Health and cycle to work scheme Family friendly policies and Company Sick Pay, after qualifying period
