POSITION DESCRIPTION Apply technical experience in field of specializaton or broad-based experience in multple technical fields, and use other technical resources within the company, to resolve complex problems. Incorporate advanced technical practces and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, applicaton of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordinaton or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning. Provide leadership in determining solutons to complex problems and be recognized as having expertse in a functonal area(s) of technical expertse. Develop solutons to complex technical problems in fields of expertse. Keep informed on technical needs within the company and technical trends in area of expertse in the external world. Be aware of capabilites of the work group and needs of its customers. Identfy technical programs which can be carried out with litle guidance and take the initatve to accomplish them. Lead task teams for developing solutons to more complex problems. Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving major technical tasks identfied by management. Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work performed. Include research, development, testng, quality assurance requirements. Communicate the results and objectves verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues, managers and oversight groups. Prepare reports for external publicaton. DUTIES (Position Specific): Provide staff augmentaton technical support for Savannah River Nuclear Solutons (SRNS) in the analysis, development, maintenance and implementaton of Engineering procedures, guides and principles, as well as actng as a resource for programmatc inquiries. General responsibilites include: • Revising E7 Manual and Manual 1B Procedure 5.19 Suspect and Counterfeit Item (S/CI) Program • Updatng Engineering guide documents • Providing technical support to field engineers in applicaton of Engineering procedures and principles • Mentoring engineers in their technical development on the implementaton of Engineering principles • Performing responsibilites of a Lead Causal Analyst as needed • Providing other technical support in the area of Engineering Programs as needed Provide staff augmentaton training support for Savannah River Nuclear Solutons (SRNS) in the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementaton and Evaluaton (ADDIE) of assigned instructonal programs in accordance with approved Training Program Descriptons and Training Plans. General responsibilites include: • Atend training to qualify for SME/instructor status on one or more courses • Review and provide input for course and exam improvements • Grade course exams and provide feedback to students • Provide instructon for specified engineering courses to engineers to include but are not limited to: • Manual E7 Conduct of Engineering • Manual 1B Procedure 5.19 S/CI Program Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatc guidance will be provided by SRNS. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS An advanced degree and experience, a Ph.D. degree and about 10 years' experience. OR A MS degree and 12 years' experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience. Position Specific Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an applicable engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, nuclear, chemical, computer science, computer related, etc.) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ability to work in a diverse work environment, Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening. Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values. Minimum 15 years of experience in an engineering role. Experience in area relative to course of instruction and ability to develop/deliver technical classroom training. Candidate shall be skilled in the use of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Desired Qualifications Previous SRS engineering experience is preferred. Understanding of NQA-1 Section 3 Design Control. Familiarity with Engineering manuals, procedures, standards and engineering programs at SRS is preferred. Experience in STAR and APS applications. PF-81 Evaluation Criteria: Price and Cost to Company: 20% Technical Acceptability: 70% Availability & Qualifications of Personnel: 10% Duration of the Contract: 1 year, 2 option periods. Estimated Hours Per Year: 1000 ST / 100 OT- Part Time/As Needed Work Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6:00a-4:30pm Onsite or Remote?
