Fellow Non Standard - Behavioral Neurologist
Job Summary

The position of fellow entails provision of patient care matching with the individual level of advancement, competence, and defined medical specialty. A fellow’s responsibilities include patient care activities within the scope of their clinical privileges commensurate with the level of training, attendance at clinical rounds and seminars, timely completion of medical records, and other responsibilities as assigned or as required of all members of the medical staff. Under the supervision of attending physicians.

Job Duties Initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status.Perform history and physical.Develop assessment and treatment plan.Participate in clinical patient care.Record progress notes.Order tests, examinations, medications, and therapies.Write and dictate progress notes and procedure notes.Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, and disease processes.Perform procedures.

Position Details Perform neurobehavioral examinations.Participate in scholarly activities in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry.Provide teaching and near-peer mentorship to students and residents.Participate in development, organization, and conduction of conferences, lectures, and events for behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry.Engage in multidisciplinary team based care for behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry patients.First year is clinically focused, with an option to extend for a research focused second year.
