**Job Title: Fence Install Foreman**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fence Install Foreman to lead our installation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in fence installation and construction, and will work closely with project managers to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects. This role requires hands-on work with various types of fences including chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and farm fences, as well as the use of a variety of tools and equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install various types of fences such as chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and farm fences on a daily basis.
+ Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
+ Utilize welding, digging equipment, bobcat, hand and power tools for installation jobs.
+ Follow all safety policies and practices, reporting safety concerns immediately.
+ Collaborate with customers to meet specific needs and address concerns.
+ Read and interpret fence specifications and materials lists.
+ Load installation trucks with required materials for each job.
+ Occasionally work out of town on projects, which may require overnight travel.
+ Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
+ Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
+ Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, maintaining composure under pressure.
+ Respectfully take direction from managers.
+ Supervise the day-to-day work of Install Helpers in tandem with Install Project Manager and Installation Manager, including planning, assigning, and directing work.
+ Ensure employees practice excellent safety habits, including proper lifting techniques and material handling.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in fence installation.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including tape measures, wood cutting tools, and other construction tools.
+ Experience in construction environments and labor work.
+ Ability to work 100% of the time in various weather conditions.
+ Experience in supervisory roles, providing feedback, and resolving problems.
+ High school diploma or GED; or three years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ General knowledge of safely operating hand and power tools.
+ Comfortable working overtime.
+ Experience that translates well includes farm hand, construction labor, framer, carpenter, movers, and those experienced in leveling, digging, trenching, and driving.

**Work Environment**
The position involves physically demanding work, including lifting and moving over 100 pounds, digging into solid earth, and working in various weather conditions such as rain, hail, snow, and extreme heat. The work environment is typically loud, and the employee will be exposed to cement products and required to use appropriate PPE. This role may require occasional overnight travel. The employee must have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular activities include standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing on ladders, using hands to handle or feel objects, and communicating effectively.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
