Job Description:

 This position is located in the DFW area 

 

The Fiber Optic Splicer is responsible for the installation, support, and troubleshooting of fiber optic lines for commercial and residential buildings on the Pavlov Media fiber backbone. This position will also be responsible for the installation of fiber enclosures.

Maintain a customer first attitude to ensure customer satisfactionTravel to each assigned site as needed to complete work ordersSplice mainline fiber counts from 12 to 288 working with C cans and D cansField calls, emails, and work orders from Pavlov Media HQEffectively test light levels to confirm acceptable level is readUnderstand network diagrams and other technical manualsAssist with upkeep on network documentation and product training materialsEnsure that network quality meets Pavlov Media standards

Required Qualifications: 

Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookTwo (2) years of successful deployment experience in fiber splicing with strong knowledge of the fiber color codeTwo (2) years of experience with experience in troubleshooting networking issuesMust have experience with the techniques, application and installation of grounding, Cat5, fiber optics, LAN/WAN networksBe on your feet for long periods of timeAbility to lift 75 poundsAbility to use hand toolsCurrent driver licensePass a drug test

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is: $20.00-$36.00/hr

 

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
