Summary: Seeking a Fiber Optic Technician to assist in the development and fabrication of high-power fiber lasers for medical, industrial, and other specific applications.
Job Requirements:
2 years work experience in fiber optics with an emphasis on lasers
Ability to utilize drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas, and precision measuring instruments
Compliance with laser safety standards and regulations
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Physics, Engineering or Optics
Specialized skills in equipment controls, circuit design, database systems, and/or automation
Job Responsibilities:
Assist engineering team in the development of high-power fiber lasers for medical product growth
Work independently on development projects as directed by engineering leads
Design and perform tests on optical components and lasers to ensure conformance to design specifications
Document development process and present findings to team members
Support ongoing process development and prototype manufacturing
Provide training and procedures for transferring newly developed products to manufacturing
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
