**Job Title:** Fiber Splicer ( Traveling) **Pay:** 25-40/hr **Description:** Looking for a Sr. Splicer, and Intermediate Splicer. Telcom contractor for fiber solutions is seeking experienced splicers to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. **Responsibilities:** • Perform work from a single splice point to splicing and troubleshooting large fiber networks. • New build and Maintenance services including splicing preparation, installation, testing, and repair of fiber optic cable using a variety of fusion splicing and testing equipment • Accurately read and interpret splicing documents, splicing engineer packets, and network plan designs in preparation for each job • Using a fusion splicing equipment, splice fiber optic cable, single or mass fusion, in a variety of elements, indoor and outdoor • Follow required inspection processes and fiber testing using Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) • Repair fiber optic cable as needed or required. • Document and maintain accurate splicing records and job site notes. • Responsible for upkeep and maintaining company vehicle, inventory, and small tools. **Skills & Qualifications:** • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated splicing work experience on large fiber networks. • Knowledge of using fusion splicing equipment • Proficient in ribbon splicing procedures. • Experience with Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) • Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and Excel • Ability to use light sources and power meters. • Ability to drive between work sites. **Benefits:** • Comprehensive Benefit Package: • Medical Plan, Co-Pay or HDHP • Company-funded Health Savings Account w/ HDHP • Flex Spending Account (FSA) for Health and Dependent Care • Dental and Vision Plans • 401(k) with 4% Employer Match, eligible after 90 days • Paid Term Life and AD&D Insurance • Long-Term and Short-Term Disability • Paid Time Off • Company Paid Holidays • Voluntary Benefits – Life and AD&D Insurance, Critical Illness and Accident Insurance • Company Truck • Company mobile phone or mobile phone reimbursement • Boot Voucher Program • Tuition Reimbursement **Work Environment:** • Occasional overnight travel (1-2 nights) within Minnesota.
