Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced fiberglass technicians for a busy workshop in Mechanicsville VA. A minimum of three years of experience is required. Currently, we are not considering trainees for this position. Candidates must possess steel-toed boots and have reliable transportation. Fiberglass technicians and fabricators are responsible for producing and repairing items using fiberglass materials, molds, and resins.

Responsibilities 

Apply fiberglass to moldsCut, shape, and assemble fiberglass materialsEnsure quality standardsFollow safety protocolsRepair damaged fiberglassPaint finished productsMix catalysts into resinsMaintain equipment

Skills and requirements 

Physical strength and staminaTeamwork skillsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to bend, squat, and reachAbility to pull and push without restrictionsAbility to lift 50+ lbsAbility to grip tools for long periods of time

Safety 

Wear respirators and protective clothingFollow safety proceduresUse required safety equipmentBe subject to environmental conditions including extreme cold, heat, and humidityBe exposed to dusty, noisy jobsite conditions, fumes, insulation materials, and some chemicals
