Field based role covering VIC & TAS

Field Application Specialist provides pro-active field and over-the-phone technical support to the Roche Diagnostics Australia (RDA) customer base. Actively participate within all activities relating to on-going training, technical performance, application / instrument troubleshooting, instrument installation and commissioning, and other issues of post-sales support services to the satisfaction of the existing Roche Diagnostics Australia customer base and to Roche Diagnostics Australia quality standards.

What you will be working on:

The Field Application Specialist is responsible for but are not limited to:

Instrument Training, Installation and Commissioning: timely training, installation and commissioning of new and refurbished Roche Diagnostics analytical systems

Application Customer Services Report: Ensure our existing and new customer base are supported with quality after sales service

Proactivity: ensure that designated customer base is serviced in a planned and proactive manner

External Communication:  ensure that customers receive technical updates, software updates and understand the content and use of such updates

Internal Communication: In conjunction with Regional Applications Manager and Solutions Manager ensure that any product related problems or issues are communicated with our suppliers and to those relevant and involved within RDA.

Teamwork: be an integral part of the Laboratory Systems division and RDA as a whole.

Promotional: help coordinate User Group Meetings in conjunction with Solution Managers, Application Managers 

Training: participate in training programs and refresher training programs for Roche analytical systems and ensure that new and existing customer base are sufficiently trained to operate the RDA equipment within their laboratory

Policies and Procedures: adhere to all company policies and procedures including guidelines, Roche Code of Conduct and Industry Code/s of Practice

Safety, Health & Environment: Ensures compliance and promotion of all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures and that all work practices are coordinated in a safe manner using any necessary risk assessment processes and tools

Who you are:

As a results-driven customer centric individual, you are able to think through problems and consider the impact of solutions and are able to build strong collaborative relationships with your customers. You have:

University degree in Science,  Laboratory Science  or equivalent

3-5 years of demonstrated experience within Haematology and Core Medical Laboratories or equivalent

Exhibited ability to diagnose applications and operational issues on analytical systems and to successfully resolve issues in a timely manner

Familiarity with the Analytical Systems - Roche Automated Analytical Systems including Clinical Chemistry Systems, Immunodiagnostic systems, Haematology Systems, and Integration systems.

Reagents knowledge: - Roche Reagents, Clinical Chemistry System Reagents, Homogenous Immunoassay Reagents and Heterogeneous Immunoassay reagents

Experience in facilitating training 

This Melbourne-field based role will cover Victoria and Tasmania. Valid driving licence and full eligibility to live and work in Australia is necessary as visa/relocation support is not available for this position.
