The Applications Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of Field Applications Engineers, driving the success of Siemens EDA's current and next generation AI-powered custom IC software in customers’ design and verification flows. This leadership role requires a deep technical understanding of custom IC flows and applications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, management expertise, and strong team-building capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Applications Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Customer Engagement: Oversee multiple customer engagements, ensuring effective relationship management at both engineering and management levels.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and execute account plans that exceed sales quotas and drive customer success.Technical Support: Provide guidance and support to the team in assessing customer technical requirements, conducting product demonstrations, and driving product adoption.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to identify business opportunities and develop solutions to customer problems.Performance Monitoring: Track and report on team performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives and continuous improvement.Issue Resolution: Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues, coordinating with technical teams as needed.Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with design engineering, marketing, and product management to provide field insights and feedback.Job Qualifications:
Educational Background: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; MS degree preferred.Experience: 8+ years of experience in an Applications Engineering role, and 3+ years' experience in a leadership role is preferred.Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Custom IC Design methodologies and tools, across a range of SPICE, mixed-signal, design environment, characterization, and IP validation tools. Experience deploying AI technology is preferred.Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.Customer Focus: Strong ability to build and maintain exceptional customer relationships.Communication Skills: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.Travel: Willingness to travel as required.This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $179,100 to $340,200 with 25% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
