The Field Applications Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for providing leadership, performance management, coaching, and mentoring of the Application Specialists in their territory or region. This position is part of Leica Biosystems located in the Northeast and will be fully REMOTE with 70% travel. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. You will be a part of the Applications Team and report to the Director of Applications responsible for managing a high-performance team that provides in-field technical applications support for Leica Biosystems’ current and future range of products and services. This individual will support the achievement of the U.S. Sales Unit’s annual sales and margin objectives while ensuring an optimized customer experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Work alongside regional sales and service manager counterparts to support Leica in order for it to achieve sales goals. + Conduct or arrange for associate training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use and build an in-depth understanding of our new product technologies and their applications in a diagnostic histopathology environment. + Update, improve or develop, plus maintain Application Specialist on-boarding and Training Program, plus Standard work for installation, evaluation, and account activities. + Travel with Application Specialists, providing individual coaching and professional development to each member of the team to enable you to complete mid-year and annual performance evaluations as well as annual development plan reviews for each Application Specialist. + Recruit, develop, mentor and train Application Specialists with clearly communicated technical and overall performance standards. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology or equivalent. + 3-5 years’ experience in field technical support. + Demonstrated experience leading projects or teams, which includes coaching, mentoring and/or training. + Demonsrated experience & understanding of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Histology market or a related discipline. + Demonstrated experience in a customer-oriented, customer-facing environment + Demonstrated experience in public speaking, training, presentation. Travel & Motor Vehicle Record Requirements: + This position requires up to 70% flying and/or driving travel, which may potentially include overnight stays. Due to travel frequency, ideal candidate will be working from a home-based office located within one hour of a major metropolitan airport. The annual salary range for this role is $106,400.00 - $125,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
