Field Application Scientist, SEA (BioScience Division)

The Field Applications Scientist (FAS), SEA, for BioSciences will be responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support and drive the success of our Thermo Fisher Scientific products specializing in Biosciences cell analysis portfolios including Flow Cytometry, Cell sorting, and Plate Reader to customers and other internal teams, as well as relaying customer feedback to the organization.

What will you do?

Mainly provide post-sales support such as installation and hands-on training for customers on the proper use of cell analysis instrumentations and reagents.Assist customers in optimizing experimental workflows and protocols to achieve the best possible results.Provide scientific and technical expertise to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to instrumentation and experimental design.Also assist in pre-sales support such as conduct demonstrations of our cell analysis instruments. Assist the sales team in understanding customer requirements and tailoring product recommendations.Provide technical guidance and answer customer inquiries regarding product capabilities, specifications, and applications.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product management teams to provide feedback on customer needs, product performance, and emerging market trends.Document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and technical solutions in CRM and internal systems.


How will you get here?
Education

BSc in Biological Sciences, Cell Biology, Immunology or equivalent experienceMSc or PhD is preferred


Experience

Minimum 3 years laboratory experience and is familiar with a wide range of technologies and applications in Life Sciences such as cell analysis, cell sorting or protein workflowHands-on experience working with flow cytometry instruments, cell sorters and plate readers and good understanding of cell biology techniques and assays.Previous experience providing technical support or training in an academic, research, or industry setting is highly desirable.Ability to work effectively in a team, and troubleshoot technical problem.Strong communication skills; capable of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external contact. Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.Tenacious problem solver with good analytical skills and perseveranceSelf-motivated with the ability to learn different techniques/instruments and able to perform self-learning
