Field Biologist
Manpower Engineering is partnering with our client., a leader in the environmental solutions industry, for a Senior Field Biologist/Project Manager. We are looking for environmentally conscious individuals who are interested in balancing the development and protection of our natural resources. The Field Biologist/Project Manager will work with landowners and developers, private and governmental agencies, and many other stakeholders, such as engineering and architectural firms, attorneys, and other environmental consultants. **Job Title: Field Biologist** **Location: Virtual work with occasional travel to project sites/customer offices within San Bernardino and Riverside Counties (mileage reimbursement)** **Duration: Ongoing, long term contract** **Pay: Exempt, $85,000 - $95,000 DOE base with incentive plan, 401k and PTO** Key Responsibilities · Research existing data sources, perform field investigations to document baseline conditions of the existing environment, and then summarize your findings and recommendations. · Lead biology surveys, including biological reconnaissance, vegetation mapping, rare plant surveys, jurisdictional delineations, focused species surveys and/or pre-construction clearance surveys. · Draft and review due diligence/constraints reports, focused survey reports, GIS mapping, jurisdictional delineation reports, monitoring reports, restoration/mitigation plans, regional conservation plan consistency documents and biological technical reports, including impact analysis and mitigation measures for multiple jurisdictions. · Lead biological preconstruction surveys, and monitoring for construction and restoration projects. · Propose, develop, and execute mutually agreeable business development plans, proposals, and work plans. · Lead client meetings, manage clients and work product. · Lead regulatory and wildlife permitting. Requirements · Bachelor's degree in biology, botany, environmental science, ecology, or similar discipline with biological emphasis.  · Passion for the environment and outdoors. · High energy and physically able to hike on uneven terrain and miles at a time when in the field. · Minimum of 5-7 years of environmental consulting experience in the Southern California marketplace. · 1+ years demonstrating success with project management, client relations, and business development.
