What You'll Be Doing

Job Summary: Generally responsible for total delivery of services safely, on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations on moderately complex projects. Work at this level requires progressive experience in construction management and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Possesses some supervisory responsibilities.  

Reviews initial project data and writes scopes of work.  

Resolves job site technical issues encountered during execution of the project. 

Supervises the project construction planning, safety, cost control, and scheduling activities.  

Provides job site liaison with home office engineering personnel. 

Interprets drawings and specifications for job site queries.  

Supervises job site document control and distribution of drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents.  

Assists engineering, QA/QC, commissioning/start up, and client in defining the turnover systems and schedules systems for turnover.  

Ideal Background

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.

Licensing: General Contractors License is highly preferred.

Experience: This position requires a minimum 8 years of relevant industrial construction management or project related experience.

Knowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.

Demonstrated proficiency in complex project management.

Ability to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.

Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.

Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
