Field Engineer
A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated Field Engineer to join our team in Chinle, AZ. This is an mid-level position requiring 1-5 years experience Responsibilities/Duties: + Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals. + Assist in management of project permit process. + Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement. + Receive and review change orders. + Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks + Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents. + Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status. + Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate action based upon contract specifications. + Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course of construction are recorded. + Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents. + Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items + Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and contractors. + Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: + Construction/related degree with 1-5 years construction experience + Excellent computer skills and analytical ability + Experience working with Primavera P6, AutoCad + Understanding of industrial construction process + Prefer - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: Tunneling, heavy highway, DOT projects, pipeline, water treatment, marine, etc.) + Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings + Knowledge of contract procedures and principles + Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment + Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Relevant experience can waive degree.   Benefits (Full-time): •    401K & 401K Matching •    Dental Insurance •    Health Insurance •    Life Insurance •    Vision Insurance •    Paid Time Off (PTO) •    Referral Program •    Weekly payroll Building Great Things.
