Field Engineer - Position Description

ICI Services is looking for a motivated individual to support Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Port Hueneme, CA. We are a small employee-owned defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Services, and Technical Services to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We need a Field Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. 

Security Clearance:

Applicants must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense SECRET Clearance.

Responsibilities:

Supervise installation teams. Maintain onsite equipment and infrastructure. Assist with receipt, inspection, installation and test of advanced technologies and modernization packages. Assist with the completion and submission of reports. Demonstrated ability to work in adverse conditions to accomplish tasks with little or no direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to interpret and correct technical issues raised by the customer. Demonstrated ability to communicate with installation activity and other members of installation team.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering assignments conducted in the field. Experience with US Navy Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) equipment.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline Additional relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.
