As a Field Engineer you will be assigned to a field operations team to assist in obtaining, evaluating and coordinating information needed to construct the project in accordance with contract documents and to assure work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible. In this position, you will be required to travel to projects in the US and Canada.
ResponsibilitiesThis Field Engineer position involves the extensive travel to project sites to gain real world construction engineering and management experience. This experience provides the highly qualified civil engineer an opportunity to learn first-hand the complex world of Geotechnical and Deep Foundation Construction. Keller is an excellent fit for a candidate who decided to become a civil engineer to work in Construction that includes a balance of design and construction management with a combination of field and office work. Responsibilities include:
Understanding contract performance requirements and special provisions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, company policies procedures.Ensuring that work is performed as per company standards and Project specific quality requirements.Preparing routine production reports, requests for information, and other production/quality control related documentation.Preparing project daily reports.Performing field tests as per project specific quality control plan.Field measuring completed work.Taking and compiling project photos, on a daily basis, to document progress, issues, impacts, etc.Working with superintendents and foremen to plan, schedule, organize construction activities.Preparing reports, charts, running production related statistical analyses. Qualifications BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field,Entry level position. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in civil construction.Excellent organizational and time-management skillsA team player with leadership abilitiesAvailable to travel to projects in the US and Canada
