Purpose of Role: The Field Engineer will provide key technical support to our Hard Rock Mining customers in Western Canada. They will be responsible for collecting and monitoring operating and wear data on our critical equipment and conduct in depth analysis to drive continuous improvement.  The position will work closely with technology centers, aftermarket sales and key Hard Rock Mining customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relations: Build strong lasting relationships with our mining customers in Western Canada with hands- on in field technical support including trouble shooting, shutdown and install support as well as commissioningProduct and Process Knowledge: Understand the customer’s process and shutdown schedule and assist with our company’s stock inventory management program in providing forecasts for parts usageMonitor and Troubleshoot Equipment: Monitor and collect operating and wear data for major Weir equipment installed at customer plants and document findings in inspection reports and presentationsField Support: Conduct field inspections and measurements using 3D scanner, hand templates and specialized software to provide customized solutions and improvements for our customers  Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (Engineering)2+ years of experience of technical or engineering experience, ideally in an industrial/mining atmosphereAbility to use various inspection instruments and hand tools with a strong mechanical aptitudePrevious slurry pump disassembly, evaluation, repair and reassembly experience would be considered an asset

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications
