Field Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Field Engineer for a large environmental construction company in Costa Mesa. This candidate will be joining a water/waste water line of business for the SoCal area. Key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: being onsite 5 days a week at a local project in the city of Irvine. Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to get submittals approved, ensuring attention to detail to avoid multiple revisions. Brainstorm engineering solutions to generate RFIs and design solutions. Track budgets and improve production. Work with superintendents to ensure smooth sequencing of installations. Field productivity and cost tracking, including comparison to budget. Field layout for upcoming work (support Foremen and Project Superintendent). QA/QC of work performed by field crews. Develop work packages, including sequence of work, materials and equipment needed, associated budgets, etc.. Purchase materials/tools needed to perform the work. Assist Project Superintendent with office-related tasks. Manage and schedule subcontractors. Assist PM with project schedule updates and cost reporting. Develop project submittals (product data, quality control plans, field procedures, shop drawings, etc.) in accordance with project plans and specifications.
