Field Engineer

We offer competitive compensation and benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Holiday Pay, Education Incentives, and more. **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:** + Overseeing of system infrastructure, system hosting, system connectivity, and system licensing. + Program and commission systems for projects. + Develop programming documents and system matrices. + Perform pre-installation programming, kitting, and device configuration. + Provide technical support to other technicians. + Apply digital licenses as needed. + Ensure quality assurance on system installations. + Maintain and enforce device labeling standards. + Collaborate with engineering during design and drafting phases. + Contribute to the Design Team by providing drawings, red lines, and as-builts. + Participate in the review process for large or complex projects. + Provide field support and on-the-job training for technicians, including technical and standards training. + Maintain and update job specifications as needed. + Configure and maintain network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls for multiple interconnected sites. + Perform routine system testing and validation as well as new system integration testing. + Document and update system baselines as needed. + Communicate, coordinate, and schedule work with other system integrators and contractors. + Maintain an updated incident response and disaster recovery plan that includes, but is not limited, to replicating data to geographically separate sites. + Experienced with electric power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, as well as other hand tools for the completion of routine tasks. + Perform software updates to maintain systems up to date. **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:** + 10+ years’ experience in physical security. + OSHA 10 Certification minimum + Fall Protection and/or Equipment Operator Training preferred + Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. + Expert knowledge in Lenel OnGuard Enterprise architecture. + Experience with one or more of the following systems: Lenel S2, Avigilon, Genetec, Axis, Milestone, Juniper, and other major OEMs. + Ability to maintain a US Government Public Trust Clearance (current active clearance, desired). **YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. On some occasions, there will be work at significant heights, perhaps 20+ feet off the ground. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed. On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required.
