Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. The Field Engineer (Civil) will be deemed an expert in his / her field and will be part of a team of Field Engineers and required to take responsibility for activities in the field relating to Construction Surveillance. The primary roles of this team is to deliver the NEC Supervisor duties described in the NEC contract and ensure that HPC Quality needs, targets and expectations are realised.
You will report to the Construction Superintendent for day to day guidance and will input into site wide management issues and a high level of interaction and coordination with other operational members of the site wide team will be required. In addition to reporting and liaising responsibilities, the Field Engineer will be required to adhere to (and suggest enhancements and improvements to) company policies, procedures and protocols for construction, health & safety and other functions. Key responsibilities will be\:
Check the Works are constructed in accordance with the contract and notify the Construction Superintendent of non-conformance request requirements Submit details of any non-conformance request requirements to assist in the issuing of non-conformance reports Proactively communicate with other site teams, maintain good communication links and ensure surveillance is timely reported Contribute surveillance information to support KPI indicators Endeavour to identify potential Quality issues before they arrive to enable mitigating actions Support team instructions to take temporary measures to mitigate and keep works safe and within Quality standards.
