Iconica is seeking a Field Engineer & Safety Intern to join our team for summer 2025! In this role, you’ll work closely with Field Superintendents and Carpenters, gaining hands-on experience in: + Promoting job site safety by participating in safety meetings, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. + Assisting in developing and implementing safety plans and procedures to create a safe work environment for all team members. + Coordinating with subcontractors and construction project managers to keep tasks on schedule. + Constructing, installing, and remodeling wood and steel structures using hand and power tools. + Learning the proper sequence of activities to assemble a building. + Reviewing subcontractor scopes of work, conducting shop drawing reviews, and following up on punch list and warranty items. + Assisting with quality control by helping create punch lists and verifying completed work. + Supporting project schedules and safety initiatives to meet client commitments. + Building and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors. Qualified candidates will have the following: + Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program. + Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred). + Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams. + High initiative and passion for learning. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
