Job Description
This position is remote and candidates can reside anywhere in the US.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge coverage-related tools that enable us to quickly respond to complex customer bid requirements. The ideal candidate will have field or CCDT design experience and a strong desire to write software, even without formal computer science training. You will collaborate closely with our software engineers, writing proof-of-concept tools that can be seamlessly deployed by the team.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to understand complex customer bid requirements and develop innovative coverage-related tools accordingly.
Utilize field or CCDT design experience at MSI to effectively create new tools that address customer coverage requirements.
Demonstrate a strong desire to write software and contribute to the development of cutting-edge tools.
Write proof-of-concept tools that can be handed off to software engineers for deployment.
Work closely with RDE senior researchers to explore new and novel approaches to coverage design.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in coverage design methodologies.
Requirements:
Field or CCDT design experience.
Strong desire to write software and develop innovative tools.
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex customer bid requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with software development methodologies and languages.

Experience with working on pre or post sale engineering team
