Field Engineer - Wireline

Job Overview

The Field Engineer role applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or jobs for a variety of products and services. Entry and intermediate level roles will receive direct supervision in support of their duties and assignments. Senior and fully-qualified level roles will provide direction to junior field engineers, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and make recommendations to improve product quality and procedures. Field Engineers act as the key interface with clients at well sites, carrying out service assignments and managing other Weatherford personnel.

Responsibilities:

Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, safety, security, and compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and industry practices Prioritizes quality, health, safety, security, and environmental protection while exceeding customer expectations Participates in daily operations, safety meetings, job hazard analysis, and promptly reports any issues Monitors and analyzes data to recommend services and solutions Performs job planning, preparation, mobilization, job execution, and submits job-related data and reports Available on 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs Tests, operates, and maintains tools and equipment according to work instructions and policies Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat business Effectively manages inventory and supplies required at well sites Follows up on failures with the R&M team and ensures failure reports are closed with clients Contributes to or leads equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis reports Oversees, leads, and mentors field operation crew members  Performs engineering checks while on client locations 

Skills:

Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics Mathematics Basic Physics and Chemistry Computer fundamentals Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures Time management Quality Control Analysis to ensure the product meets required standards Service Orientation Physically capable to undertake the tasks required to perform the role Information & task ordering & ability to identify when a problem may occur and, where possible, to understand the solution Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications Mathematical Reasoning Experience with 10k PCE Equipment Proficient in Fishing Operations Knowledge of PCL or Tool Push operations Experience in Rigless Operations

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in engineering Minimum of 3 years of experience as Field Engineer in Wireline
