THE WORK
The Field Sustainment Manager will support various programs in the C6ISR Line of Business (LOB) and be responsible for about 15 direct reports and delivery of all Field Sustainment products/services. The successful candidate will drive the ‘Program as a Unit of Action’ mentality and partner with the Program Management Team, Production Operations, GS functional Centers of Excellence (COE), and Engineering Teams to develop and deliver all Field Sustainment products and services. In addition, the manager will also support Logistics Program Management activities, new business capture, new business growth of existing programs, continuous improvement, 1LMX insertion, proposals, and performance for sustainment scope in the RMS C6ISR LOB as needed. This employee will report to the Sr Manager of Spectrum Convergence Market Segment and be dotted line to the Sr Manager of Undersea Warfare Market Segment. The primary qualifications and task requirements include:
• Plan, schedule, track, and execute field support for a variety of field service activities taking place in multiple locations concurrently
• Operate in a dynamic schedule environment and interact with all levels of the organization
• Develop fiscal year budgets to secure appropriate funding
• Forecast future staffing demands and ensure proper staffing levels
• Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Approve timecards and expense reports
• Provide clear and concise direction to team members ensuring successful program execution
• Work independent of direct LM line management supervision on teams to resolve issues and serve as the customer point of contact
• Work with the programs to monitor performance, eradicate issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Manage competing demands for resources to meet deadlines

Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and management skills are mandatory for this position, as well as the demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and contractors
• Manager shall have the ability to multi-task and be familiar with MS Office tools
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
• Work, on occasion, will require travel to customer facilities such as Naval bases and Shipyards. The ability to go up/down ladders and work in confined spaces is an ongoing requirement.
• Work location is the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems facility in Syracuse, NY. The candidate will work full time on-site.

• Experience interfacing and presenting to Customer(s) and senior Program leadership

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800.
