SUMMARY:


Responsible for the maintenance recordkeeping and oversight of all Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Detection systems as well as mail processing equipment, sensors, decontamination units and associated equipment to maintain mail security and the security of the operation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CBR calibration, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting errors.
• Perform decontamination systems preventative maintenance, set up and break down.
• Perform basic concepts in environmental field sampling.
• Develop equipment maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP), updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and maintenance record management.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSE:

 

Required:


• Minimum of four (4) years of CBR (military) and/or HAZMAT Technician (Civilian) background with in-depth knowledge of chemical, biological, and radiological detection to include operator level (or higher) calibration, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of applicable operations and maintenance codes and regulations.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.
• Experience in commercial off the shelf (COTS) CBRN equipment consumables inventory, shelf-life management and re-ordering.
• Experience in basic concepts in environmental field sampling.
• Experience in writing equipment maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP), updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and maintenance record management.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to reference and utilize technical manuals as needed.
• Ability to follow technical directions from product engineers or technicians.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

 

Preferred:


• Active SECRET clearance preferred.
• Experience in decontamination systems preventative maintenance, set up and break down.
• 10- or 30-hour OSHA certification preferred (but not mandatory).
• Current CPR/First aid certification preferred (but not mandatory).
• Basic information technology and electronics experience beneficial (but not mandatory).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate the work requirements with various staff and subcontractors. Ability to prioritize, organize and work well under stress and maintain deadlines. Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change. Ability to work flexible hours in order to meet deadlines. Knowledge of acceptable workspace safety practices including occupational safety and health regulations. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and co-workers. Ability to follow direction is a must. Must be comfortable with high intensity work environment.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required.
