This hybrid position can be based in any location within the M&T footprint.Overview: 

Manage a group of Field Examiners.  Read and review field examinations and lead, coach and mentor the staff.  Track completion of group's goals. In addition, performs complex field examinations of clients and prospective clients to provide the Bank with a first level of risk management by determining collateral adequacy, identifying operational issues and making recommendations to improve the Bank’s collateral position and by working closely with Credit Quality Assurance and other Credit areas. Oversees the completion of the exam by providing leadership and coaching to the exam team. 

Primary Responsibilities: Manage and lead the regional field exam staff.  Schedule field exams, review field exams, train the staff, write performance reviews of staff, schedule outsourcing of field exams, participate in hiring of staff and perform field exams as noted above and as stated in the Sr. Field Examiner Level.Provide explanation and reasons for exam findings and answer questions posed by Credit Officers and Credit Quality Assurance relating to the field exam.

Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities: 

2 year Leadership, Coaching, Mentoring of junior staff.

Education and Experience Required: 

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of combined field exam experience or similar experience.
