Lowe's 2025 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE® 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 27th and concludes on August 1st. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into an Industrial Engineer full-time role or another internship for those that successfully complete the internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
The Field Industrial Engineering intern will operate as an integral member of a Supply Chain facilities’ management team, while also being part of a broader team of Engineers across the Supply Chain network.

Areas of learning
Partner with Supply Chain Industrial Engineering, operations, and other cross functional teams to focus on optimizing performance including safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, capacity and efficiency.
Project management, creative problem solving, business analysis, facility layout, product flow, and change management.
Process improvements including Six Sigma Lean, Kaizen events, rapid improvement events.
Identifying, adapting, and integrating automated systems and processes in a retail supply chain setting
Sourcing and analyzing data for various process improvement efforts and to support your recommendations to leadership
Attend weekly meetings as part of the management team to keep apprised of issues and opportunities, lending the engineering perspective to guide the facility towards the most ideal and strategic course of action
Other learning areas: budgeting support, facility layout design, ergonomics, material handling equipment, cost-benefit analysis, capacity analysis and other business functions/partners as necessary.
Education and/or Experience:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with an expected graduation dates of December 2025, May 2026, December 2026 or May 2027
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills are required
Time study experience; good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and Access
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
