**Job Title: Field Install Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Field Install Welder to join our family-owned fabrication shop. Our team specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of sawdust collection and disposal systems for the lumber industry. This role requires a willingness to travel to various project locations and proficiency in MIG/SMAW welding. Entry-level candidates will be considered if they possess their own welding hood and a valid driver's license.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install sawdust collection systems at various locations, including Arkansas, Texas, and North Carolina.
+ Perform stick welding for installation projects.
+ Read and interpret prints, drawings, schematics, and field layouts.
+ Operate boom and scissor lifts as well as overhead cranes.
+ Ensure safety compliance and work quality, adhering to OSHA-10 and MSHA standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG and SMAW welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
+ Experience operating boom and scissor lifts.
+ Valid driver's license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ OSHA-10 and MSHA certifications are preferred.
+ 1-3 years of welding and fabrication experience.
+ Experience with field installations and use of overhead cranes is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Our shop is a family-owned fabrication business in operation since 1979. We primarily build equipment for the lumber industry but support multiple sectors. Workdays can vary depending on the project and typically start around 5 am. Hotel accommodations and a per diem of $50/day are provided for travel projects.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANDY, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
