Field IT Support Technician
**Job ID Number** R4265 **Employment Type** Full time **Worksite Flexibility** Onsite **Job Summary** As Field IT Support Technician you will travel throughout Baltimore County to provide technical support for devices, software, hardware, and network issues. **Job Description** We are looking for a **Field IT Support Technician** **.** This position will be **full-time** and **onsite contract opportunity** **.** This is a 37.5 hour work week. **Candidates must be local to Baltimore County and comfortable with travel throughout the county.** **What** **You’ll** **Do** + Communicate effectively with all levels of customers including administrators, staff, students and vendors + Installs and supports new devices along with accompanying software (These devices can include computers, tablets, projectors, document cameras as examples) + Coordinates the repair of student and teacher laptop computers including performing diagnostic repair procedures + Installs and configures supported device operating systems + Performs routine diagnostics and maintenance with multiple operating systems + Installs and configures applications and other supported software packages + Tests new releases for supported systems + Performs network support and troubleshooting duties + Provides consultation and/or training to teachers, staff and students on the operation of technology equipment and software packages + Troubleshoots hardware and software issues + Assists teachers with resolving device related problems + Integrates knowledge and skills from a range of technologies to address work assignments and problems of moderate complexity + Coordinates with vendors when necessary + Participates as team member on small and/or large projects + Records activities in the work order system + Updates/Creates internal supported system documentation **What You'll Need** Required + Associates Degree in a related technology area + Minimum of three (3) years’ experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting + and maintaining device software + Knowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and software platforms + Ability to perform technical tasks with minimal supervision + Must be able to follow oral and written directions + Any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered + Must have own transportation and valid driver's license (Required license must be maintained throughout employment in this position) + Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb a ladder Preferred + Possess certifications such as CompTIA, A+ certification, HP Certification, other hardware vendor specific certifications **Physical Demands** + Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb a ladder + Must have a valid Driver's License + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor \#LI-AL1 **Reasonable Accommodation Statement** If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111. **Equal Employment Opportunity Policy Statement** It is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
