In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creating a Development Plan for all managers to be prepared for future growth within the patch and sub-region and be at model in each restaurantAssessing the performance, turnover risk, and promotion readiness for each of your management positionsTeaching others how to be successful at their jobs and gives them the necessary tools and confidence to do soDemonstrating respect for individual employees and appreciation for their efforts and contributionsEnsuring the integrity of Chipotle’s training practices are executed in each restaurantPerforming progressive validations throughout each manager’s trainingPromoting only those managers who are willing and able to succeed in their new roleBeing held accountable for all aspects of their restaurants’ performance and serving as ultimate decision-makerConducting Food Safety and Operations Audits at the assigned cadenceWorking in your restaurants at lunch, dinner and on weekends each weekEnsuring staffing, scheduling, and training systems are in place on every visitEnsuring the restaurant is safe, the team delivers an excellent guest experience, and their sales and cash flow are achieving planProviding timely, honest feedback to both the MOD and GMEnsuring employees understand what the correct standard is, and why it is so importantCreating a systematic plan with your GMs to improve the standardRecognizing and appreciating progress from visit to visitReviewing all weekly and monthly reports to understand profitability of restaurants and accuracy of reported numbersConducting monthly business reviews with each GM to ensure accountability to the planAdjusting your strategy as needed throughout the year to attain the planLeveraging the strengths of your GMs and support staff to help the patch achieve its goalsThe ideal candidate will:
Have consistently demonstrated strong leadership skillsUnderstand that their success is based on the success of their teams, and aspire to make the people around them better than they areBe committed to operational and training systemsHave strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsPossess strong supervisory and organizational skillsBe able to interact easily with diverse employeesHave at least five (5) years restaurant/retail management experienceHave thorough knowledge of and be committed to the culture and values of ChipotleBe knowledgeable of and have the ability to use a PC and MS Office Suite proficientlyEnjoys occasional travelPAY TRANSPARENCY
Pay range is $80,000-$122,000- depending on skill level, experience and/oreducation. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
