Primary Role

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Perform J.U.L.I.E. locates. Perform b-box and valve inspections and maintenance/exercising, fire hydrant flushing inspections, leak detection, reads, tests, and/or
installs water meters when needed and performs customer service functions when needed. Work with utility crews and customers performing various water and sewer utility repairs, maintenance, installs, and a high level of
customer service/awareness. This includes working on main breaks, sanitary sewer backups, and jet flushing sewers. Willingness to perform any and all job related functions when needed. Maintain and keep equipment in
proper and safe operating condition. Complete required paperwork and investigations. Information must be accurate, complete, detailed, and on time. Works with teams or alone to complete assigned projects on time.
Operate various heavy equipment and vehicles such as dump trucks, water pumps, jackhammers, sewer jet cleaning, vacuum, equipment, tv equipment, etc. Effectively operate various equipment such as line locators,
metal locators, pressure gauges, sawz all, augers, b-box keys, and valve insertion machines.
 

Experience/Education Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent, the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to the job with accuracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers.   Possession, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire, a CDL – class A license with air break endorsement. Tanker endorsement license preferred.  Ability to read, install and test water meters. Ability to walk routes and use meter reading equipment. Ability to effectively operate, adjust and repair b-box, hydrants and value boxes. Knowledge of, and ability to use, basic computer/field laptops and programs. Knowledge of sewer repair, rehab, replacement and maintenance preferred.
  Knowledge/Skills H.S. Diploma/GED
  Other Ability to physically perform manual labor including working overtime when required.
