**Job Title: Field Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to join our team, focusing on the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles for a construction company. The role primarily involves working in the field at various job sites, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and engines.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and engines.
+ Perform repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and engines.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire repairs, and belt changes.
+ Complete troubleshooting once issues have been determined and test after repair.
+ Utilize power tools and mobile equipment for repairs.
+ Work with **yellow paint equipment** such as Cat, Deere, and Komatsu.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair, though more or less experience may be considered.
+ Strong hydraulics, diesel repair, equipment repair, and preventative/corrective maintenance experience.
+ Proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and engines.
+ Experience with yellow paint equipment (Cat, Deere, Komatsu, etc.).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of welding and fabricating is a plus.
+ Certifications in engine repair, hydraulics, or electrical systems are helpful.
+ Experience reading blueprints and installing equipment.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to hire position based out of Springfield, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00
