Job Description:

Field Mechanic Responsibilities:

On-Site Maintenance and Repairs: Travel to customer job sites to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on heavy equipment.Mechanical Expertise: Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.Electrical and Hydraulic Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.Diesel Systems: Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.

Field Mechanic Preferred Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Experience: A minimum of three (3) to seven (7) years of relevant experience is necessary.Driving Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant driving experience is required.Technical Skills: Hard down/major repair skills are a necessity.Training: Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.Equipment Experience: A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
