Field Network Analyst Sr
Specific Responsibilities

The Field Network Analyst Sr, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s IT – Global Networking team at the company’s Houston, office reporting to the Sr. Manager – Network Services
This position will work within Apache’s network architecture and operations team to support Apache’s field network and contribute to projects requiring network expertise.

The successful candidate will be able to:

Actively participate in the planning, design, and implementation of operational technology infrastructure to include all field network related projects Act as an escalation resource for reported field network performance or SCADA application performance issues Manage and support the field network monitoring and configuration management software Provide technical and architectural support for field networks to include industrial switches, routers, wireless bridges and cell modems Assist in developing the overall operational technology and field communications strategy for Apache globally Work with various groups to understand business requirements and identify, evaluate and recommend technologies using best practices/industry standards to help improve upon current processes Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies while looking for effective ways to integrate new systems Provide technical guidance and training to end users and junior staff on network and OT related communication issues Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance windows Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world International and Domestic travel may be required Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Extensive design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with large enterprises Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to clearly articulate complex issues Project management, documentation, and end user interfacing capabilities Extensive experience with network protocols, standards, and architectures to include but not limited TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DMVPN, and SDWAN Experience interfacing with or supporting infrastructure needs of a process control environment Experienced with various technology, such as Cradlepoint, Cambium, Cisco and Palo Alto Knowledge of Purdue model, cybersecurity controls, NIST Framework and applicability in IoT and intersection of IT and OT space Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry – specifically with field support technicians
