About the Role:

Responsible for managing field incentive compensation (IC) and IC specific reporting for eligible teams at Neurocrine. The individual will plan, create, implement, calculate, manage, develop reports, and rollout all components of incentive compensation, including but not limited to core incentive compensation, contests, and annual incentive programs. The individual will partner with leadership from across various departments/teams to ensure all plans are in-line with commercial strategic objectives and legally / regulatory compliant and financially responsible.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

In partnership with Commercial Leadership, develops, reviews and communicates the Sales Compensation Philosophy and components (i.e., Plans, Contests, etc.) of sales compensation in conjunction/within the Total Compensation Philosophy

Manage the design and ongoing administration of incentive compensation strategies/plans/policies for the Company's eligible field teams in partnership with sales leadership and internal commercial management

Facilitates and designs sales contest strategy, reporting, principle development and alignment. Ensures sales contests motivate field personnel, support the commercial objectives for the brand, and adhere to Compliance policies

Propose and manage business rules for IC crediting/calculations. This includes monitoring overall data changes and proactively proposing how data changes or new data can be integrated into incentive compensation

Create, manage and support incentive compensation documents or materials, including ensuring all updated materials are in Neurocrine's Learning Management System. This includes, but not limited to, Incentive Compensation Program document, Incentive Compensation Plan Period documents, and meeting minutes for Field Incentive Compensation Committee meetings

Assist in training the field team(s) on incentive compensation overall, their specific incentive compensation plan, and any changes to business rules or crediting as it relates to the incentive compensation plan

Partner with Neurocrine's finance department to review incentive compensation calculations and ensure all payroll files are delivered in a timely manner for IC payout

Oversee regular IC specific reporting updates on monthly, quarterly, and on ad-hoc basis at request of sales leadership

Work with Data Manager to ensure all relevant incentive compensation data is provided to data vendors in a timely manner for all reporting systems

Manages and ensures there is a response to any inquiries from the field regarding incentive compensation, including data or plan related issues

Provide analytics and summary on incentive compensation and may be required to provide sales reports or analytics to field leadership

Requirements:

BS/BA degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR

Master's degree and 4+ years of related experience OR

PhD and 2+ years of related experience

Strong knowledge of and experience working with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including Specialty Pharmacy, IMS and SHS data

Strategic understanding of sales and marketing with the ability to identify product sales drivers, trends, issues, etc. Experience with sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred

Applies basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value. Ability to work both independently and cross functionally as part of a team

Ability to present to executive management team effectively to gain approval or feedback on proposals for incentive compensation

Ability to work closely with all levels of a field team

Expertise within the CNS therapeutic area and launch experience preferred

Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Requires broad understanding of the processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the team's work and familiarity with the underlying concepts in other disciplines within the function

Applies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the function and understands contribution to Neurocrine's achievement of business objectives

Demonstrated understanding of the global commercial organizations

Strong financial and analytical acumen and computer/systems skills

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $127,500.00-$184,800.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
