**_About The Position_**
_The Scheduling Specialist will direct all scheduled Customer Operations maintenance and construction projects to the appropriate workgroup. This position will be scheduling electric work for Sparta, Mt. Vernon, & Centralia Operating Centers in the South Region._
**_Key responsibilities include:_**
+ Schedule, assign, and direct the workforce in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with the limitations of any applicable collective bargaining agreements.
+ Monitor all work in area of responsibility and make real time recommendations to management on prioritization and course of action to ensure commitments are met.
+ Ensure resources are optimized by analyzing the volume of work, present and forecasted, to allow for scheduling of work according to capacity, location, and type of work within an assigned area.
+ Coordinate resources to ensure work is scheduled across teams. Suggest job bundling opportunities and efficiencies as appropriate.
+ Audit adherence to the assigned schedule and determine the effectiveness of the schedule through performance metrics.
+ Provide regular updates to stakeholders through dashboards, reports, and briefings.
+ Work closely with other departments (e.g., Regions, Substation Operations members, Resource Coordination, BPS, and Engineering) to manage and coordinate work activity (e.g., oversee / coordinate material and equipment projected needs).
+ Manage communications around current and future schedules. Assume shared accountability for the schedule.
+ Manage coordination of construction activities with other departments and outside entities. Monitors progress and reports on any discrepancies.
+ Partner with other Supervisors in the coordination, planning and proper work assignments for both internal and external construction crews.
+ Analyze current and future work orders and reports (e.g., capacity, new business, and projects) determine resources and skills required to complete the work.
+ Document and provide pertinent information for communication to internal and external customers.
+ Communicates changes in project scope to contractors. Act as the primary contact for contractors or company crews, as appropriate.
+ Coordinate and lead weekly and bi-weekly planning meetings with critical stakeholders to assess, refine, and align on work plans based on stakeholder feedback.
+ Develops rolling weekly work schedules for assigned geographic area in coordination with local Supervisors and Operating Center staff
+ Proactively manage daily schedule changes and coordinate response to emergent work and intra-day plan changes
+ Monitor and record job status and key performance metrics to track progress and efficiency against the plan
+ Proactively contact customers to resolve issues/complaints as needed
+ Translate quarterly plans into rolling near-term work plans in coordination with local Operating Center Supervisors and teams
+ Coordinate with stakeholders and other groups on job scope, crew and equipment requirements, material and T&E estimates, and other details critical for timely, efficient work execution
+ Coordinate timely response to emergent work requests and proactively assess tradeoffs required in shifting local work schedules
+ Assist in Storm Restoration when required
_Qualifications_
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university is preferred. Five or more year's relevant experience (e.g., planning, analysis, or design of electric, gas, or substations/relay distribution systems, vegetation management, and electric, gas, or substation/relay construction/maintenance) required with supervisory or team leadership experience preferred, OR five or more year's relevant experience in a heavy industrial or military environment including a minimum of three years in a supervisor role required.
**In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:**
Experience in project management, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, or project accounting such as UIP, Primavera, and PowerPlant; Experience with EMPRV, TRIS, PeopleSoft and other PC tools; Experience with Computer office software such as Microsoft Windows/Office Suite; Experience with internal scheduling software and systems (e.g., Enterprise Software and Graphical Work Order Scheduler MS project, primavera, DOJM, EMPROV)); Ability to coordinate resources to ensure work is scheduled effectively across teams; Knowledge of electrical distribution system and/or gas operations and corresponding maintenance, operations and construction practices; Ability to analyze data (e.g., capacity, new business, projects, spreadsheets) to determine resources and skills required to complete the work; Ability to manage change effectively in order to influence project teams and results; Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing; Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with team members, leaders, and customers (internal or external) in order to build trust; Ability to manage time and meet deadlines by prioritizing and coordinating multiple projects and assignments; Ability to understand and comply with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Ability to understand systems and processes; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Thorough understanding of work coordination processes and ability to execute within the processes; Ability to think critically and resolve conflicts as problems arise; Experience managing the details; Ability to think creatively and innovatively to support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements; and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic.
_Additional Information_
This role is currently a hybrid role. The reporting office will be flexible based on the successful candidate's location. Travel throughout the Southern Region will be required.

**Compensation Range:**
$86,400.00 - $133,900.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
