Field Operations Support Assistant

Provides administrative and clerical support to a funeral home, cemetery, crematory or a combination of these facilities. Duties include greeting the public and providing general information on services offered in a polite manner with a goal to meet and exceed customer expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Prepares death certificates, prayer cards and related documentsCompletes required permits and or certificatesPrepares and processes Veteran’s PaperworkPrepares marker monument placement paperworkEnsures required documentation to support requested products and services are accurate and complies with state/federal regulations and company rulesPrepares and distributes daily schedules, reports, and documentsReceives and processes payments and contractsCoordinates the ordering of memorials and related products and the control of storage inventory for vaults and markersOrders office suppliesOversees the processing of installation orders to grounds and maintenance departmentsProcesses accounts payable transactionsAssists with the preparation of obituariesAssists Location Management, Sales, Family Service Counselors and payroll as neededActs as backup to ReceptionistGreets family members and friendsCommunicates client family’s needs promptly and accurately to the appropriate staff memberConveys a sense of concern and empathy with client family members at all timesResponds to customer inquiries via telephone, internet and in personMaintains professional and cooperative relationships with county clerk, medical examiner and physicians

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School or equivalent

Experience

1 - 2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity required Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of office equipment including computers, calculators, copiers, printers, and fax machines at a level consistent with experienceMS Office Suite experience preferredBasic mathematics skills requiredGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and detail orientedHigh level of compassion and integrityAbility to maintain confidentiality

Compensation:

Salary: $18.50

Benefits: Part-time associates working an average 20 hours a week may be eligible for 401(k).
