Are you looking for an Intern opportunity to learn more about the construction industry?  Our Field Project Engineer position may be a fit for you! Field Project Engineers assist the Site Superintendent in leading the building process.  You will learn the skills of planning, coordinating, and directing work. In addition, you will supervise company personnel and subcontractors to ensure the project remains on schedule and in compliance with safety regulations as well as company policy.  Commercial Construction project value range; up to $25 million. The project timeline must be monitored closely and your ability to manage and maintain tracking in software systems will become an asset to the team.   You will be responsible for identifying and facilitating the problem-solving process, specifically those issues that may affect safety, cost, quality, and/or final delivery of a project.  You will review shop drawings for accuracy and ensure that work being completed meets specifications listed; communicate all needed updates in a timely manner.  You will approve trade contractor applications for payment and conduct inspections at critical phases to verify compliance with contract documents. Under the guidance of the Superintendent, you will calculate and allocate resources, resolve design problems, evaluate and implement change orders to ensure project delivery.  Meeting construction budgets is crucial to the entire process and by monitoring project expenditures and identifying variances with corrective action will help everything stay on track.  Finally, near the end of the project you will schedule, coordinate, and complete the punch list prior to the owner taking occupancy followed by responding to requests for service.  If you are someone who enjoys working in a team environment and looks back at the end of the day to admire a job well done, then we want to talk to you!
