This job opportunity is with a market leader of Critical Power Solutions and Services in the nation. The Field Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of assigned projects, serving as the principal point of contact for customers. This role involves managing electrical equipment projects and will ensure smooth transitions from quoting, implementation, testing, and commissioning to customer acceptance. This position may involve supervising a small team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for assigned projectsCollaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to define project scope and ensure completenessPrimary Point of Contact between the company and its customersAttend pre-bid and bid-opening meetings as necessary and conduct site walks for quoting the jobReview customer specs, drawings, and bid documents; issue change orders as neededPartner with customer service teams throughout the projectDevelop and enforce project safety plans in compliance with company and regulatory standardsMonitor project costs, margins, and gross profit, reporting financial performance to managementReview bill of materials and statements of work (SOW).Provide on-site supervision during installation and project activitiesManage / track schedule in conjunction with forecasted plansWork with suppliers to optimize material and service marginsStay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantageCollaborate with sales teams for joint calls and coaching opportunitiesEnsure customer satisfaction and maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built records and punch lists

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management a huge plusPrevious experience working in field service, project management, and/or proposal generation experience in critical power systemsMinimum of 3 - 6 years of experience working with Power Systems / Battery storage systemsUPS experience working with: Emerson / Liebert / Vertiv ; APC / MGE / Schneider , Eaton / Powerware / PDI, etc. a plusMinimum 5 years of project management experience in power and/or mechanical applications (PMP certification preferred)Knowledge of standards: IEEE, NERC / FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, and or NETAIn-depth knowledge of Power Systems / energy storage technologies, to be able to provide solutions to customers: what products to recommend, product / solution limitations, as well as market trendsProficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint; ERP, Procore, etc.Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills - verbal, written, presentation, and customer serviceStrong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced work environmentsWillingness to travel extensivelyPrevious experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)
