**Job Description**
**About the Team:** The Field Quality Performance Engineer is responsible for tracking and monitoring the global field quality performance to control and reduce field quality related costs and complaint rates. The task includes root cause analysis and definition of corrective actions and their documentation with the objective of permanently containing various product warranty claims. The Field Quality Performance Engineer is part of a cross-functional team and works closely with our regional claim investigation center, the development department, the legal department, production facilities, suppliers and customers. The continuous improvement of the field performance and thus the reduction of the warranty costs of the product segment (PS) is in the foreground.
**What you can look forward to as a Field Quality Performance Engineer:**
+ Manage the global nonconformity cost-warranty (NC-Warranty) recall costs and field quality performance indicators for the product segment (PS).
+ Responsible for the implementation of the standardization/excellence defined by the Division/Board of Management to increase functional efficiency.
+ Accountable for product field quality (performance) within the PS and ensuring proper field monitoring (risk management).
+ Manage the resolution of significant (SIR) and safety (PPAC) PS issues. Track progress and ensure closure, including lessons learned.
+ Assess financial risk to SIR and PPAC and ensure that this is considered and aligned with finance department (specific provisions).
+ Ensure SIR/PPAC communicates with the various regional customer teams (define/maintain failure type analysis standards; for use in the Regional Claims Investigation Center (CIC)).
+ Negotiate with customer and/or supplier regarding the cost of SIR issues and align with the customer teams (NCC warranty impact assessment).
+ Evaluate financial risks and corresponding measures (Q risk report, provision, risk calculation).
+ Support the process expert to ensure an efficient "complaint management process" (focus on PM/Region interface).
**Your profile as a Field Quality Performance Engineer:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of work experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering required.
+ Solid understanding of vehicle system complexity is required.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of root cause analysis tools (8D, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto, Statistical Tools, etc.).
+ Must have a comprehensive understanding of the following quality management and tools: Product Lifecycle Management, Automotive quality standards (SPC/MSA/FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP - AIAG), Production Process & Product Approval (PPA - VDA 2).
+ Must have the ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
+ Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
+ Automotive experience in matrix environment.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt.
+ Experience with Power BI and/or MiniTab.
