The position will be performing daily activities from all R&D projects at the our Client's facility There are three Cotton projects at the this location: Research Seed Production, Population Development, and Pima Breeding. This site is a centralized station for producing all the cotton seed, breeding crosses and lines for all US cotton breeding programs. The whole operation is done with high-quality standards of processes and products to be successful. Centralization is about being able to reach that high-quality standards, but also process efficiency being able to allocate resources all in one place to decrease the cost per unit of product. Research assistants play an important role maintaining the quality standards, gaining efficiency in a safe working environment. This position will be performing field and greenhouse activities at the Station such as but not limited to: planting applying pesticides applying fertilizer harvesting and processing relatively small samples of Cotton. Safety and quality of the processes and products are in our culture. This position will be key in maintaining those high standards we cherish. Job Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree in a related field being preferred. Field, greenhouse, and warehouse experience, such as pest management, planting, harvesting, filling and sorting seed packets, crossing, are desired.
