THE OPPORTUNITY
Scholastic is seeking a Field Sales Assistant for the independent bookstore channel and Books-A-Million. The sales assistant will report to the Director of Field Sales/Special Markets and provide sales support to our field sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Soliciting field sales rep quantities for sales materials
Uploading invoices and coop claims for all field and special markets accounts and Books-A-Million
Supporting the Books-A-Million Sales Manager with sales calls and previews
Arranging the bi-weekly field team call and taking notes
Creating various sales reports and sell sheets
Working closely with the field sales reps on all materials needed for Regional Shows
Researching potential new accounts and assisting with processing new account paperwork
Working closely with the Sales Director to create targeted account lists for monthly marketing mailings
Assisting with sales related projects as needed
