Field Sales Representative Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 4 months Description: Responsible for sharing Client solutions with members of the community in a door to door sales approach. This includes having energy, knowledge and ability to overcome concerns and questions from customers. Ability to learn the Tech industry and speak with ease and comfort about the many solutions and offerings of Client. Yes, you will be a technology expert after training. You will continue to receive training, feedback and advice from industry leaders throughout your career and there are many changes to apply those skills in careers throughout the Company. Demonstrate your expertise in customer service by wowing each customer with each transaction. Even if the neighbor is not or elects not be a customer, we want them to leave the conversation with a great feeling about Client and the amazing team that works here. Attention to detail and ability to maintain mileage/expense reports and share back weekly reports of your progress. Job Details and Requirements Section: Scope of the work/project is: Introducing Client’s product to residential customers. This is NOT a canvassing role, but a closing role. The goal is to close 7+ sales a week to join the internal team. The customer (internal/external): External – The customer is not ready for you to show up, not someone who wants a phone call to get signed up for something, nor are they an active customer. The customer is someone working with our competitors, who is literally just working at home and then here comes Client to change their minds. Our ideal customer would be a single-family home, residential. We avoid multiple dwelling units such as apartment buildings as well as small businesses. Size of the group this position will be supporting: The team currently has 5 members but is growing. Technical environment: Apple iPads with basic apps, VPN, internal Client systems. Team culture: Independent team of workers who are goal oriented and focused. Has the manager reviewed the basic qualifications in the CenturyLink employee job description and is there anything they need to add so this position could be converted to an employee if needed: To be qualified to be converted to a full-time employee, the worker would need to meet the goal of closing 7+ sales a week to join the internal team. Candidate Detail Section: The top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required: Field Sales experience, qualified to work outdoors, no office personnel or heavy customer service personnel preferred, must be tech savvy to manage an iPad. Non-technical Skills are necessary (such as communication, problem solving, team player, i.e.): Good communicator, self-sufficient, goal oriented, trustworthy, Candidate background and how many years required: Relevant sales experience, previously worked in sports or military careers or other direct selling campaigns are usually the best fit for this role. No specific amount of years’ experience required.
