The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides frontline support by resolving customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting. The FSE is a field-based, customer-facing role that installs, services, maintains and modifies Company platforms at our customer sites, primarily in the clinical environment. The FSE uses critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to rapidly repair equipment.
Job Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications and installations on JJ medical device products at customer sites with minimal supervision
· Provide on-site customer repairs; responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs
· Provide adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction
· Work closely and collaboratively with fellow field team members, including Sales, Marketing, and Training to ensure customer success
· Perform necessary administrative duties accurately
· Keeps accurate records of service calls, maintains inventory of service parts, tools, and test equipment.
· Follows safety practices as defined by the Company and/or the customer's site safety code
· Maintain annual training compliance to meet company, industry, and customer site requirements
· Job will generally be performed on customer site, typically at a Hospital or Medical Institution.
· Customer site may have exposure to hazardous materials, waste, airborne particles and allergens.
· Sometimes employees are furnished and required to wear safety gear, protective equipment, gloves that the job requires.
· Must be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job
· Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
