Field Service Engineer
Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a Field Service Engineer for its industrial manufacturing client in Westfield, Indiana, with travel across the central US. The incumbent will provide resolution for issues within the low/medium voltage sectors, including installations, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.

Responsibilities:   Hands on execution, and customer point of contact for electrical startups, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of power delivery equipment. Specific knowledge of power delivery includes OCB’s, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Switchgears, Busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, Relays, Controls, and related equipment. Abide by Health, Safety and Environmental standards to develop and expand technical knowledge of industry standards for electrical distribution equipment and their warranty. Responsible for technical report writing, material management, quotations, job status reports, customer reports, time sheets, expense sheets, while exercising good judgement in controlling costs and expenditures. Protect the company’s capital investments, while contributing to continued development and refinement of all field projects. Serve as the customer point of contact, communicating regarding delays, repairs, etc.  
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or combination of education and applicable hands on experience.  Minimum of 2 years in field service work. 50% travel as required by company projects. Technical skillset in testing/managing power distribution equipment including low/medium voltage breakers, switchgears, relays, circuit breakers and transformers. PLC experience preferred. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US.
