Monday to Wednesday 08.00 – 16.30 Thursday 08.00 – 16.00 Fridays 8.00 - 15.30

Our client SMT GB are looking for an experienced Field based Engineer to join their well-established and professional team of engineers at Horsham to cover customers across North West London.

The Role

Carry out service, repairs and overhauls on Volvo heavy plant and machinery including wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, and utility.Identify mechanical problems, using technical knowledge and computerized diagnostic equipmentEnsure software updates are installed.Complete tablet inputs, electronic reports and timesheets in ‘real time’ providing comprehensive details of the work undertaken.Order parts for your work as necessary

Requirements 

Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-based engineering, agricultural or HGV MaintenanceMechanical experience in construction or heavy plant machineryProven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronicsLocated North West London inside the M25Full UK driving licenceRight to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
