Volt is immediately hiring for a Field Service Engineer working remotely, traveling 75% of the time to customer sites throughout the clients Northeast territory which includes CT, DE, MD, NH, NJ, NY, PA, VA.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for key activities in robotic guided surgical system installations, upgrades, and maintenance. This position will have the opportunity to work with several engineering disciplines from mechanical engineers to application software developers. They will play a key role in ensuring that client provides top quality service to its customers.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tInstall, maintain, test, and document a complex robotic guided surgical system.\r\n\tTroubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to reduce system downtime.\r\n\tMaintain effective communications with supervisor and peers in daily activities.\r\n\tComplete training as applicable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related tasks.\r\n\tFollow all applicable Quality and Safety procedures. \r\n\tFollow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\r\n\tMaintain company working areas and local environment in accordance with applicable general operating procedures.\r\n\tAssure that all measuring instruments, that are used, are within calibration limits.\r\n\tEnsure that all activities are carried out within regulations and laws governing business and quality operations.\r\n\tEnsure compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.\r\n\r\n\r\n

QUALIFICATIONS:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tIdeal candidate would be located in Greater Boston or Greater New York/New Jersey area, or anywhere in the Northeast Territory with close proximity to an airport. \r\n\tBS in Engineering or equivalent.\r\n\tExperience with maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices highly preferred.\r\n\tExperience working with robotic guided surgical systems, preferred.\r\n\tIdeally looking for 2-4 years field service experience, will accept recent college grads with previous experience calibrating equipment, using hand tools, calipers and digital multimeters. \r\n\tWillingness to travel on a regular basis to support multiple accounts.\r\n\tExcellent debugging skills.\r\n\tAbility to explain complicated technical information in simple terms.\r\n\tComfortable interaction with medical professionals as well as engineers.\r\n\tExcellent communication skills, including written and oral.\r\n\tExperience with medical devices that include a significant software and electrical component.\r\n\tFamiliarity with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards preferred.\r\n\tStart-up experience.\r\n\tExperience in a customer facing role.\r\n\tAbility to travel. This position requires up to 75% travel. Frequently, travel is outside the local area, overnights and some weekend work.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $73,000 – $89,500/yearly

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
