Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for on-site customer troubleshooting, diagnostics, and installation of Injection Mold, Aluminum Extrusion, and Die Cast machines. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial machinery, electrical principles, mechanical concepts, and precision mechanical components.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise installation of new machines or new parts.
+ Complete final acceptance testing of new machines.
+ Train customers and service technicians on the operation of machines.
+ Troubleshoot and repair customer machine problems via phone and/or on site.
+ Utilize and maintain technical and precision measurement testing equipment.
+ Construct machine components as needed for customer-specific jobs.
+ Read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
+ Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
+ Complete technical reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of machine installation and customer/field experience.
+ Experience with hydraulics, electrical wiring, PLCs, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting machinery.
+ Ability to travel 50-70% of the time, including local and out-of-state travel.
+ Must have or be able to obtain a passport and pass a driving record check for a company car.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with welding/fabrication.
+ Experience directly with injection molding machinery.
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a manufacturing/production facility which can be loud and non-temperature controlled. The position requires 50-70% travel, with accommodations provided for long-distance projects. The standard shift is from 7 am to 4:30 pm, with potential adjustments based on customer needs, including occasional Saturdays. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00
Affordable healthcare, 401k w/ match up to 4%, 12 paid holidays and 118 hours of PTO per year. Company car. Overtime paid at "time and a half"
