Job Description Our large manufacturing company is looking to hire for a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Chester PA. This individual will provide advisory services to customers who own the company's Quality Control and Distributed Control Systems. In this role you will: 1. Provide customer support for QCS and DCS systems installed in Pulp & Paper manufacturing process. 2. Carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis as required, undertaking service and repair of products and systems to deliver against customers requirements. 3. Keep accurate records regarding job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, extras, and engineering and fabrication errors. 4. Report back on the completed service outlining the activities carried out, faults found and any future recommendations for improving the service offering. 5. Train customer staff in methods to maintain and repair the equipment, to ensure knowledge is transferred. 6. Conduct audits at customer sites to record and analyze process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate will sit local to the Chester, PA area. 2 weeks out of the month this individual will be onsite at a client in Chester, while the other 2 weeks out of the month will be split between a client in Buffalo NY and a client in Albany NY. All travel is paid for and there is a car allowance on top of this. This position requires a valid drivers license. Overnight travel will be required within an assigned area. Skills and Requirements 1) 4+ Years experience in the field with instrumentation and electromechanics preferably in a pulp and paper manufacturing environment. 2) A technical school diploma in instrumentation, electromechanics, or mechatronics. 3) A University bachelors degree in Electro-Mechanical or similar engineering.
